The panel-standard 16×2: 122.0×44.0 mm is the outline that equipment front panels have been cut for decades, which makes this module the drop-in for service replacements and for new designs that must fit existing enclosures. Dimensioned listings matter in this class — the outline, not the character count, is what your mechanical engineer needs first.

About this module
COB (chip-on-board) construction mounts the controller on a PCB behind the glass, which makes the module rigid, connector-friendly and easy to fix behind a front panel with screws or a bezel. It is the traditional build for character and panel graphic modules, and the one service teams prefer: a COB module can be unplugged and replaced in the field without touching the glass. The cost of that convenience is thickness — plan the depth behind the panel accordingly.
Electrically these modules speak the classic parallel MPU interface of their format (with serial variants where the controller supports them), and character formats follow the HD44780 command-set standard that decades of firmware already speaks. Customisation covers backlight colour and brightness, fluid type, connector style and, within the format, outline variants dimensioned in the listings. Every unit is 100% visually and functionally inspected before shipment.

FAQ
Is this a standard, repeatable part?
Yes — it is a platform-listed model. The binding specification for your order is the approved drawing and order configuration, which the listing reflects; any configuration change is frozen in a project drawing before production.
What documentation is available?
The mechanical drawing and interface definition for the model, plus the listing record named below. Factory-level documentation (audited profile, quality systems) is available on request.
How is quality controlled?
Every unit is 100% visually and functionally inspected before shipment. The factory's quality systems are ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; certificates are available upon request.
