A segment LCD shows exactly what your product needs to say — a set of digits, a battery icon, a warning annunciator, a unit label — and nothing it doesn't. That discipline is why segment displays still outsell everything else in meters, thermostats, appliances and instruments: lowest cost per unit, lowest power, readable for a decade, and a face that is unmistakably your product rather than a generic screen.
HZY designs and manufactures segment glass in TN, HTN, STN, FSTN and VA, in positive and negative modes with transmissive, transflective or reflective polarizers. Viewing direction is specified 6H or 12H; connection by metal pin, zebra strip or FPC; drive voltages cover 2.8, 3.0, 3.3 and 5 V platforms.
Standard and custom
Platform-listed models centre on customised 7-segment displays — multi-digit, multi-background-colour and industrial variants — because most segment projects are custom by nature: the digit count, icon set and outline belong to one product. The listed models below show the formats we build repeatedly; your design starts from its own drawing under the custom segment LCD process.
Choosing the glass
- TN — the economical default for indoor readouts viewed straight-on.
- HTN / STN / FSTN — wider viewing and better contrast steps as the product's price point rises.
- VA — deep black backgrounds and the widest viewing of the family; the choice for premium appliance faces and shaped designs (see VA LCD displays).

Minimums on listed segment models start at 2 pieces for samples on the platforms; production minimums for custom glass are quoted per drawing. Every panel is 100% inspected before shipment.
