TN 7-segment LCD display for multiple use from HZY Made-in-China listing
TN 7-Segment LCD Display (Multiple Use) — product image from the listing source named below.

The high-volume staple, with its family documented across the store's listings: an air-conditioner-remote TN build (−20 to +60 °C, 3.0 V), a calculator sibling in STN, and an 8-digit bespoke-outline build on a zebra connection at 3.3 V rated −30 to +60 °C. Read together, the listings show the shape of the TN segment business: standard fluids, product-specific glass, volumes that justify tooling many times over.

About this module

In a custom programme the digit and icon layout is drawn for one product, a tooling is cut, and the resulting display shows exactly what that product needs to say — nothing else — at very low power and, in volume, very low unit cost. The parameters in the listing define the production window: fluid family, drive voltage, viewing direction and connection method are the four decisions every segment project starts with, and all four are fixed at drawing stage.

The economics follow from the tooling model: a modest one-time tooling cost, then very low unit prices at volume, with a design cycle of about 3 days for drawings and about 2 weeks for samples once the layout is approved. Segment glass is also the longevity option — a tooled design can typically be re-ordered unchanged across the product's life, subject to material availability. The tooling and cost structure is worked through in the custom segment LCD guide on the blog. Every panel is 100% inspected before shipment.

Ordering and lead times

This is a tooled custom part: pricing and minimums are quoted per approved drawing rather than from a listing. The rhythm follows the audited FAQ — drawings in about 3 days, samples in about 2 weeks after tooling, mass production in about 5–6 weeks. Send your digit layout or target specification to [email protected] or use the form below.

FAQ

How does a custom segment project start?

With the drawing: digit count and height, icon set, outline, fluid family, drive voltage, viewing direction and connection method are fixed on a project drawing (about 3 days). Samples follow in about 2 weeks once the drawing and tooling are approved.

What does tooling cover?

Tooling cuts the glass pattern for your exact segment layout. It is a one-time cost quoted per design; the parameter window — fluids, voltages, connections — is set out in the specifications above and in the custom segment tooling guide on the blog.

Can the design be re-ordered later?

Yes — a tooled design is held on file and can typically be re-ordered unchanged across the product's life, subject to material availability. Any change to the layout is a new drawing revision, quoted before production.
