A 1:1 display is a deliberate design choice: gauges, camera-style previews, control faces and appliance dashboards all compose naturally on a square, and a square panel wastes no pixels behind a circular bezel window. HZY's square TFT range covers the three sizes the market has settled on.
The 3.4 inch square TFT (480×480, ST7701, MIPI) is the compact control size. The 3.95 inch (720×720, NV3052C, SPI-18RGB) and 4.0 inch (720×720, MIPI) panels give a finer canvas for richer UIs — the 3.95 inch model is platform-listed, and the 4.0 inch shares its resolution class. A 5.08 inch 720×720 model exists in the wider catalogue for larger control faces.
Square vs round: the honest comparison
Many products that look round are square panels behind a circular mask — cheaper glass, simpler driving, and the corners give you somewhere to put status icons the bezel hides or reveals as needed. True round glass (see round TFT displays) wins when the circle itself must be the visible edge. Our round display design tips cover the safe-area rules that apply to both.
Integration notes
Square panels in this range use mainstream driver ICs (ST7701 family, NV3052C) with MIPI or SPI-RGB interfaces, so host support is the same as for rectangular models of the same class. Outlines are compact — the 3.95 inch platform model is a self-contained module — and touch options can be evaluated per project under the custom LCD process. Typical applications: smart-home control faces, instrument clusters, coffee and kitchen appliances, and access/control terminals.
