The 'standard product' designation in the listing matters: 240×160 FSTN COG is a stocked, repeatable build — a near-QVGA monochrome canvas for handhelds and instruments that want graphic richness without colour power budgets. Standard-product status is the closest thing monochrome has to a longevity guarantee.

About this module
COG (chip-on-glass) construction bonds the driver IC directly onto the glass, which is what makes modules in this family a few millimetres thick with no PCB behind the display. The trade is handling: the FPC is the mechanical interface, and the enclosure must support the glass rather than hang it from a board. In return you get the thinnest construction in the monochrome range — the construction battery-powered instruments standardised on.
Integration follows the interface stated in the specification table above; initialisation sequences for the ST7567 family used across much of this range are short and widely documented. Customisation around a standard COG module covers the FPC (length, pinout, pin count), the backlight where fitted, and polariser mode; full custom glass follows the tooling path described on the custom LCD page. Every unit is 100% visually and functionally inspected before shipment.
