EXAMPLES
480×800 → 1080×1080

MIPI DSI is the interface of the phone industry, and it shows: the highest resolutions in our catalogue — the 7 inch round 1080×1080, the 6.86 inch bar 480×1280, the 5.99 inch 1080×2160 — are MIPI panels, because serial lanes move more pixels over fewer, shorter connections than any parallel bus. If your host is a Linux or Android SoC, MIPI is almost certainly the interface your board already exposes.

Our platform-listed MIPI range includes the 3.97 inch 480×800 portrait panel, the 4.3 inch 480×800 ST7701 module, the 6.2 inch bar 360×960, the 6.86 inch bar 480×1280, and the 9.0 inch 1024×600 module with optional capacitive touch. The design catalogue extends this with square (3.4 inch 480×480), half-circle (3.54 inch 800×640) and Incell-format models on the same interface family.

What MIPI asks of you

MIPI trades wiring simplicity for initialisation complexity: the panel needs its command sequence and lane configuration matched to your SoC's DSI host, and the initialisation code is part of the deliverable conversation. We supply the model-specific initialisation parameters with the datasheet package; if your platform team has a reference driver for the driver's family (ST7701, JD9165, ILI9881-class parts appear across the range), integration is routine.

Choose MIPI when resolution or format demands it; choose SPI when an MCU and 240×320 are enough, and RGB when your host is a mid-range MCU with a parallel display controller and the panel is 800×480-class. The interface selection guide lays out the decision.
