An LCD module is the display plus its driving electronics in one assembly — glass, driver IC, backlight and connection — so your board talks to a finished component instead of a bare panel. Colour: TFT modules
TFT is where colour, touch and high resolution live. Our range concentrates on 0.85–10.1 inch platform-listed models with SPI, QSPI, MIPI, RGB and MCU interfaces. Start at TFT LCD modules or browse by size.
Monochrome graphic: COG and COB
Chip-on-glass (COG) modules put the driver on the glass for the thinnest build; chip-on-board (COB) keeps it on a PCB for ruggedness and easy mounting. The 128×64 format is the family's volume centre, with 192×64, 240×128 and 240×160 above it. The differences are covered in our COG vs COB guide.
Monochrome character
Character modules render fixed character grids — 16×2 (the classic 1602) through 40×2 — with ST7066U-class controllers your firmware team already knows. They remain the lowest-risk display choice for meters and instruments with long production lives.
Segment and backlight
Segment LCDs are drawn around your product: digits, icons and annunciators in TN/HTN/STN/FSTN/VA glass, connected by pin, zebra strip or FPC. LED backlights are a product line of their own here — standard colours and special shapes, sized to the module, at an audited output of 2 million units per month.
Choosing a family in one minute
Need colour or touch → TFT. Need the thinnest possible graphic display → COG. Need a robust, screw-mounted graphic or character display → COB. Need only digits and icons, at the lowest unit cost, for years → segment. Every family is built and 100% inspected in the same Guangming District factory, and families can be mixed in one shipment — a common pattern is a TFT main display with a segment auxiliary display from a single custom LCD project.
